Terms of Service
Last updated: January 2025
Thank you for playing Solar Bear. By accessing and playing the game, you agree to the terms set out below. Please read them — they're clear, fair, and don't contain any surprises.
The Basics
Solar Bear is a free browser game. You don't need to register, pay, or provide any information to play. We offer it as-is, in good faith, for anyone who wants to give the bear a good run across the floe.
Your Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to play Solar Bear in a web browser for private, non-commercial purposes. This covers playing the game. It does not transfer any ownership of the game or any rights over its content to you.
What's Not Allowed
- Using automated input, bots, or scripts to play the game or generate inflated scores
- Copying, decompiling, or redistributing any of Solar Bear's code, graphics, sound assets, or characters
- Incorporating Solar Bear's visual design, character, or branding into a commercial product without our written permission
- Publishing a modified or rehosted version of the game and claiming it as original work
- Any conduct that would violate applicable laws or regulations in your jurisdiction
Who Owns What
Solar Bear — the polar bear character with his iconic sunglasses, the walrus and glacier hazards, the arctic sunset environment, the fish collectible design, and the complete game codebase — was created by us and belongs to us. All intellectual property rights are reserved. Your licence to play is a lease, not a purchase.
Content Changes
We may update Solar Bear — fixing bugs, adding features, changing how it looks or plays — at any time. We may also take it offline temporarily or permanently. We'll try to keep it running, but we can't make a binding promise about that.
Disclaimer
Solar Bear is provided without any warranty of fitness, performance, or suitability for a particular purpose. We've worked hard on it, but we can't guarantee it'll work perfectly in every browser configuration on every device.
Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by applicable law, the creators of Solar Bear are not liable for any harm arising from playing or being unable to play this game. This includes — but is not limited to — the frustration of losing a record run to an unexpected glacier.
Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms at any time. The updated version will appear on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to play after a revision means you accept the updated terms.
